Turkish-German airline will leverage the ancillary provider's technology
SunExpress teams up with Holiday Extras to offer customers ancillaries
SunExpress, a joint venture between Lufthansa and Turkish Airlines, has announced a partnership with UK-ancillary provider Holiday Extras.
Launching in April, the partnership will allow the airline to offer its more than 12 million passengers, airport hotels in Europe and private transfers and public shuttles worldwide, powered by Holiday Extras' technology and customer service.
The offer will initially be rolled out for B2C customers of the airline awarded Best Leisure Airline in Europe by Skytrax, with B2B solutions expected to follow in the future.
“The vacation usually doesn’t start at the destination, but rather when you leave the house,” said Peter Glade, commercial director of SunExpress.
“We want to offer our passengers this feeling of lightness through our partnership with Holiday Extras.
"With Holiday Extras we have found the ideal partner to reliably extend our service before and after the flight and give our customers an unforgettable travel experience.”
Johannes Mehrer, joint general manager from Holiday Extras Munich, emphasised the importance of the partnership.
He said: “SunExpress is an absolute expert when it comes to holidays in Turkey and, with its diverse route networks, offers us new opportunities to reach travellers throughout Europe.
"For us, this important cooperation is the next step in the expansion of our European portfolio and offering, and we are excited to be taking our next step on that journey with our new partner.”
