CMAC Group attributes acquisition for increases
Leading ground transport company set for record year
Significant increases in bookings, fleet size and its international customer base has British travel company CMAC Group eyeing record growth in 2024.
Since being acquired by ComfortDelGro at the beginning of the year, the provider of transportation and accommodation solutions has been experiencing an acceleration in demand.
CMAC Group has reported more than 325,000 UK bookings in the first quarter of 2024, up 8 percent compared to the same period in 2023.
Internationally, taxi bookings have seen a considerable 150 percent increase, hotel reservations an 81 percent rise and coach trips are up 35 percent.
For vehicle bookings, the CMAC has recorded more than 330,000 requests in the first quarter, accommodating more than 500,000 passengers and covering as many as 5,310,988 miles.
Notably, more than 80 percent of all bookings were made via CMAC’s digital platform, equating to an increase of 15 percent on bookings made in the same period in 2023.
With a summer jam-packed with international events including the Paris Olympics and UEFA Euro tournament, not to mention its ongoing services globally, the business anticipates continued success in the coming months.
"This year marks a significant year for CMAC as we embrace the opportunities within our extended global family,” Peter Slater, CEO of CMAC Group, said.
“We are committed to an ambitious growth strategy which will see us able to offer our vital transport services in an increasing number of locations across the globe.”
